About Rajeev Jonnalagadda

I write from a position of emptiness, and I write in an attempt to fill that very same void. I write to put my thoughts in order, and I write because it makes my experiences a little more real to me.

My writings are shaped by where I come from and what I have done, been and seen. Much of it is bitter, the rest is self-aggrandizing, to the edge of delusion. And that’s the point, I guess. Weaned on Tolkien, Jordan and Erickson, the pages of a book have always felt more real to me than my own life. Their ink more real than flesh, and the crescendo of their wars, tragedies and stories regularly washed away the noise of my little meager life.

My writing is my way of putting things into perspective, of putting me into perspective. Of fixing focus on me to study my faults and follies, of which there are thankfully many. It’s my defence, my pride and my goal. You are welcome to them, mundane as they may be.
